Dr. Jorge Galvan
Dr. Galvan studied General Medicine in Mexico; thereafter, for the next 9 years he moved to France and Switzerland where he completed his residence training program, specializing in General Plastic Surgery. While in Europe he worked in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Saint Antoine University Hospital in Paris, at the Centre hospitalier universitaire Vaudois in Lausanne Switzerland, Mount Vernon Hospital, London College University Hospital in England and at La Timone University Hospital in Marseille France where he specialized in Microsurgery.
After his return from Europe, Dr. Galvan introduced the Plastic Ambulatory Surgery principles and Microsurgery in the Mexican Republic, making him a pioneer in these procedures.
Thereafter, he founded the first Ambulatory Plastic Surgery Clinic in Chihuahua Mexico where he attended patients from different parts of Mexico and United States. He was also a professor in surgery at the Medical School of the University of Chihuahua Mexico for ten years.
Dr. Galvan is a founding member of CIMA International Hospital, now Hospital Angeles and Star Medica Hospital which are considered one of the finest hospitals in Mexico with certification at international level by the Joint Commission International (JCI). Galvan Plastic Surgery Institute is located at both Star Medica Hospital and Hospital Angeles.
Dr. Galvan’s awards include: Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeon, British Association of Plastic Surgeons, the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS) and the Mexican Association of Plastic Surgeons and fully board certified by the Mexican Council of Plastic Surgery.
